For the new year, Ford hasn’t held back on advancing its models even further into the future. With new performance specs, tech features, and even new colours to stand out on the roads, there’s a 2019 Ford model available to meet your driving needs. Take a look below at the new changes that came to some of our most notable Ford models.
The majority of this year’s changes on the F-150 are with its Limited model. The biggest change comes in the form of now including the F-150 Raptor’s High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost® Engine as its standard powertrain, as well as a Two-Speed Automatic AWD with Mechanical Locking 4WD. Otherwise, every 2019 F-150 model now comes with Automatic High Beams and Pre-Collision Assist w/Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). Meanwhile, you also get a wide selection of new colours to model your 2019 F-150 with, including Agate Black, Velocity Blue, Silver Spruce, and Abyss Grey.
Performance-wise, not a lot has changed with the Ford Escape this year, but there’s a handful of new packages to equip yours, with a bunch of useful tech and comfort features that comes along with it. You choose the Sun and Style package to add 18” Sparkle Silver-Painted Aluminum Wheels and the Panoramic Vista Roof® with power open/close. If you’re looking for a more functional package, the available Safe and Smart™ package from Ford features almost every safety and driving assist feature you can think of! Lastly, the Sport Appearance package, exclusive to the SEL trim, adds polished black and chrome details for a more refined SUV look and style.
For 2019, the Ford Edge brings some of the most exciting changes with its new model year. The most talked-about change for the Edge is the brand-new ST model, built as part of the Ford Performance lineup and includes the incredible, new Twin-Turbocharged 2.7L EcoBoost engine with up to 330 horsepower. The performance upgrades don’t stop with just ST model though, because every 2019 Edge now comes with the new 8-Speed Automatic Transmission with Active Transmission Warm-Up, AWD Disconnect, Post-Collision Braking and a new Rotary Gear Shift Dial. On the tech side, the 2019 Edge comes standard with FordPass™ Connect with 4G LTE capabilities, as well as the advanced Ford Co-Pilot360 Protect™ system of driving assist features such as Auto-High Beam Headlamps, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, and more.
